Emotions & Art Gowns
The Art Show was a success, a thrill, and a joy. This was Diana’s 8th showing. It was my first, marking it as a personal milestone.
The Artists
Resa above and Diana below
One day Diana (a hair stylist to the stars I know from working in film) took me to an empty store, and drew a mental image of an art show we could have.
She said we can turn this empty space, into a showcase place for our art.

Above is before and after. The after shot is not quite the finished space, but close. I did change light bulbs from halogen to warm white led’s.
Diana took one side. I took the other. Diana got her paintings hung up in no time at all.
Mine were still along the floor. Then she hung mine up in no time at all.
She came up with the welcoming furniture.
I made a slide show that was projected on the screen at the back.
Diana paints with oils, sometimes adding sparkles or gems. A self taught artist, her spirit resides with notable self taught artists: Frida Kahlo, Henri Rousseau, Grandma Moses and Jean-Michael Basquiat and others.
I adore her & her art, and will be doing a more comprehensive article on this artist in the near future.
The Art Gowns
I was able to display 3 Art Gowns at the show.
Jade
Mademoiselle Emily
For Gigi
– by Holly Rene Hunter (from original post)
She is fine
like Dynasty porcelain.
Her words are the chimes of
a host of carillons that ring
True and wise, clear as bells.
Her hair is a storm
Of Harlow platinum
eyes, a deluge of diamonds.
Not to give into Winter
She winks over her shoulder,
saunters Emmy's catwalk
adorned in Chanel and Lavender.
Queen Isabella
Thank You Tim!
SURPRISE!! Timothy Price (Off Center Not Even) sent $$$$ to my PayPal, to help with costs. Although the space was free, there were lights to buy, photo cards for handing out, diesel gas for Diana’s truck, a deal we worked out with the restaurant beside us for wine and pizza and more.
My Art Gowns Art (photo prints on canvas with iridescent paint hand detailed on top,
…and Rock Legends made the wall.
A few posters were made up to sell.
Wrapping out was a sweet sorrow.

Wow–now I understand why this was such a huge undertaking! I thought you both had space at an established art show, not that you were designing the whole space yourselves. Amazing that you got it for free. Everything looks wonderful–the set up, the lighting . . .I love your art gowns! (And it’s good to see photos of you, too! 💙)
Thanks Merril!
It was all so exciting for me, and I think Diana too!
A wonderful atmosphere was created, and everyone who came was impressed to see an empty clothing store transformed.
BUT omg.. the lighting was horrid. Diana knew we had to have different lighting. Anyway, I am now the owner of 5 new lights. It will be interesting using them to light the next Art Gown I shoot.
Yes.. photos of me. That was the hardest part! 😅💙
You’re very welcome, Resa! I’m so happy for you that you got to experience it! 💙
Thank you, Merril! 💙
This show looks like it was absolutely stunning, Resa! A huge amount of work, but what a creative “payoff” for the talented you, the talented Diana, and the visitors. 🙂 Congratulations!!!
Thank you, Dave! This was a wonderful experience… a fruition of sorts.
I’m excited about doing a post about Diana. She’s not on WP, but I should ask her for her links on FB & TikTok. I should have thought of that! 🤔
Mama Luscious!
The art! The gowns! The prose! The space! Taking that before and making it into such a wonderful after! What a dynamic duo you two lovelies proved to be, making for a magical space.
Brava!!!!!1
Aww… Yayayayay!
Thank you Marc!
Doing this show was more fun than I thought it would be. It was a joy x a million.
MUAH!
You did a sensational job lovely. As per.
MUAH!
MUAH!
Stunning work, Resa—putting together such a show, dreaming big–and such a wonderful way to show the talent both you and Diana have. Congratulations! The Irish Bride painting from Diana is brilliant (as is all her work), and the artistry of your gowns never fails to inspire us creative wanna-bees 😊! And it’s very cool of Tim to offer his support, which shows that behind every great woman, you can find a great man 😂!
Thank you for this lovely comment, Dalo!
Diana continues to dream big. After reading this she said let’s load up a truck with our art, drive to NYC, rent a cheap hotel room and have a show there!
Who knows? Stranger things have happened.
Lol.. Tim has been a wonderful supporter from day one. He’s my first patron, ever!
wowza – everything about this show was stunning, what a huge undertaking, and you rose to the occasion! congrats!
Thanks Beth!
It was a fun rising. I’ll do it again, but first – back to making art!
Resa, the wonder girl. Art diamond are for you. All the best, TOF
Aww, thank you, TOF!
I’ll take the Art Diamonds, and share them with you!
Spectacular start up dear Resa and Diana. You’ve created a spectacular platform to exhibit your amazing creativity, your artwork and gowns ( sigh) are perfection. Such an amazing display of beautiful art, the lighting is wonderful and creates a unique and sublime atmosphere. Thank you for sharing my poem to the lovely Gigi , I am so honored. And tell me that does not describe her to a T!
Sending so much love and I’ve no doubt that this will be a wonderful experience and tremendous success. I’m delighted to see you two absolutely gorgeous ladies. Love the Bunny shoes!
❤️
Thank you dearest Meece Holly!
It was a tremendous experience. Diana wants to load out art into a truck, drive to NYC, rent a cheap hotel room and put on a show there.
She does dream big.
In the meantime, it’s back to drawing and sewing. I’ve just begun to get back into a creating groove with some Barbie gowns & a tad of drawing.
Once I get rolling, we will have to figure whose portrait I should do next.
I sold the Janis and Jim Morrison drawings. Between those & Tim and Norm throwing in some $$, I broke even. The happening was priceless.
I love your Gi poem, and just had to include it.
My feet!!! maybe I’ll start hopping.
xoxoxoxo❤️🌹❤️xoxoxoxo
only you could pull off the adorable bunny shoes , you’re an absolute doll.
🐰❤️🤗
… and I can hop!
🐰❤️🤗🐰
I think we’re missing out on band night , I wanna dance, how bout you? 👯♀️🪩🧑🩰🧑🩰
Ohhh yeah!
It’s been a bit sad since Paul died. The guys get together to play…but… there is a block…. they are not over it yet.
He was the band leader in a sense. He also knew every chord, note and word to every song.
Funny you should mention something. I’ve been thinking of a way to help them go through a catharsis.
I was thinking of making a list of songs to play that Paul played a lot, and that they would remember the music, and some of the words.
xoxoxo👯♀️xoxoxo
That’s so sad. Such a tragic loss. It will take time I’m sure. That’s a very good idea you have , a tribute in memory. I’m sorry you’re all going through this. 😢
Yes… I’ll try that.
Yeah… I need to. call Lynn tomorrow…his widow.
Life is a weird deal. xoxoxo
Very sad, I’m so sorry. xoxoxoxoxo
❤️
❤️
WOW WOW WOW!! Congratulations to you and Diana on your successful joint show! Shout-out to Tim for his contribution to the show. I wish I could have seen the exhibit in person. Congratulations again!
Thank you, Liz!
I would have loved for you to see the show. I’d have loved more WP pals to see it.
We are miles apart, yet have this wonderful virtual way of sharing.
I’m honoured you attended here today!
You’re welcome, Resa! I make sure to experience plenty of online art every day to keep myself sane.
Yay!
That’s one great thing about tech. We get more exposure to the arts. It’s exposure to the (f)arts that is annoying, even scary.
I agree with you on both counts!
Congrats! Look at you and those gorgeous pieces of art xo So glad it was a great success.
Thank you Eunice!
This was a wonderful experience that turned my world upside down… in the best way! xxx
I was just wondering about your show, Resa, and then woke up to your inspiring post! Wondering about a wonder, so true to see your magnificent gowns and Diana’s paintings!!
Thank you Cheyenne!
You know how exciting it is to show. I hope you have many more!
Love Diana’s paintings. I’m looking forward to interviewing her and doing a post.
Again, thank you!
And yes, it is very difficult to photogragh iridescent paint…
That was just nutty with light and angles trying to capture the iridescence.
I’m going to try something different next time.
It’s crazy how expensive canvases are!
Oh Sorceress! This is absolutely fabulous and now I am even more pissed that I could not find a way to get there (or carve out the time). Damnation.
Congratulations to you two wonderful and extraordinary artists. Both of you produce fabulous art.
Thank you dear Thunder!
Yes…Dalmation!
One day.. but first, back to making art!
I adore Diana’s art. I’ll be showing more of it in the future.
xoxoxoxoxoxo
Her stuff is muy cool indeed! You two are a magnificent duo!
xoxoxoxoxoxo
xoxoxoxoxo
yay… ⚡️💥❦⚡️💥❦⚡️💥 – ⭐️
💞💞😍🥰💞💞
What a wonderful show you and Diana put on. I wish I could have attended the show. Diana’s artwork is fabulous, and you know how much I love your gowns and sketches. Your photos of the space and artwork are fantastic, especially given the challenge of the lighting. I love your beatnik artist look. You are adorable. I imagine you sitting in a café sipping coffee and sketching with Dylan playing in the background.
Timothy , as always your generosity moves the heart.
I agree! xxxxxxx
xoxoxoxoxo
xoxoxoxo
Thanks, Holly. When Resa mentioned needing lighting and other things, I said to myself, “The show must go on!” People needed to see and experience the magic of her gowns and sketches in person.
Tim, it was also exciting for me to see my Art Gowns in person, in a venue other than the Art Gown room.
The few times someone has modelled one for me has been a thrill, but this was another dimension. xx
Having your artwork in an exhibition is a whole other dimension.
Yes, yes it is!
Timothy to the rescue. You’ve a big heart , my friend.
Kind of like Jim Dandy.
… to the rescue!
I hated Jim Dandy done by Black Oak Arkansas when I was a teenager. I heard it on the radio driving to work not too long ago, and thought it wasn’t too bad after all.
Norm says that about many old songs now.
He might still not overtly like them, but he can appreciate anew. xx
Then there are songs I liked when I was a teenager, but now when I hear them, I don’t know why I liked them.
Ha! Well, teens will be teens.
…to the rescue 🎶
lol… xoxox
🤗xoxoxo
Agree! 💙 ~❦🕊❦~ 💙
Yay! Thanks Tim!
You have been such a fabulous support since we met out here.
As I said to Holly, between selling Janis and Jim Morrison and you and Norm pitching in some $$$, I broke even.
But, the experience was priceless.
I think I will try to find a cafe that plays that kind of music, and try drawing there. What a great idea! (I’ll wear my beret!) xx
Supporting your art is worth every penny. I’m sure Norm agrees. That’s great you broke even. I believe the people who came to your show thought the experience was priceless, as well. I’m happy people had the sense to buy some magic from you. They will be blessed daily for the rest of their lives.
Le sniff!
Thank you! You are so good to me.
Actually, people were all blown away by the gowns, and doubly so when they realized they were made out of recycled etc. goods.
Diana told me if anyone asked how much to buy one I should say $35,000.00. After all they take almost a year to make by hand.
Some did ask, so I said $35,000.00. It seemed to make the gowns more impressive… took them out of the “clothing” thoughts and into the realm of art.
Oh, btw, Diana owns a ranch up north here. She has 8 horses. I’ve never been up there, but the pics of it are fabulous.
I’m surprised you didn’t sell one or two gowns at that price. If someone asked me, I would say $100,000 minimum. But given the time, care, and talent that goes into your gowns, they are truly priceless works of art.
You should figure out how to visit Diana’s ranch. That would be fabulous!
Wow, Resa. What a magnificent art show. Everything looks amazing. Good old Tim to lend some support. I wish we lived closer. Then we could have a show. We’ll have to make the most of virtual shows 💓
OMG!
You and I would be fabulous in a joint art show. Your animals and my repurposed fabrics Art Gowns would make a great environmental statement.
Art Rules!
❤️🌹❤️
What a lovely display, Resa. You look marvelous as does your work. Congratulations to Diana, too.
Thank you dear John!
My Bugs Bunny feet kept making me think of you.
🐰X
I thought they were very chic. 😊X
Me too! I got … comments on my feet that night.
White feet are a wonderful element of surprise to add to any outfit. OX
The only bigger surprise would be chicken feet. 😀X
Chicken feet?
Of course I didn’t use chicken feet, because…. listen to me boy! … I know when and how…I say and how… chicken feet should be used.
I mean you don’t use chicken feet when wabbit feet are what’s called for. Just like – are you hearing this? Just like if moose or squirrel feet were called for, you would not… I say would not use chicken feet.
Whatever feet … you understand we are only talking feet here? Whatever feet are to be used is a consequence of timely investigation.
So.. I know when to stop rationalizing the use of chicken feet. I can stop using chicken feet any time I choose!
(chicken feet.. maybe I should have…?)
Totally hilarious, Resa. This is one of the best Foghorn Leghorns I have read. Thanmks for the laughs. 🐓X
You’re welcome John, I say… you are welcome.
You know … if you’re listening.. manners, I’m saying politeness is a strength, understand me it’s not .. hear me out! I was say.. KA💥BO💥OM 🪶🪶🪶
🤣X
Oh WOW! What a milestone and achievement. ALL of the works looks so beautiful, I wish I had been able to have attended myself to see it close up.And I really wish I had been there as I might have been able to help with your lighting as I’m quite at home around Fresnels, ParCans, Floods and Gel Frames….I studied theatrical lighting at college (my tutor designed on the West End production of Phantom of the Opera!).
Congrats again to both you and Diana, and I hope you get to do more showcases together in future.
Thank you so very much Tyeth!
It was for sure a WOW time when the opening night arrived, mind blowing. I’m still trying to get into a routine of drawing and sewing again.
I’m sure you could have helped with the lighting, with your background.
Thank you, again, and I would love to do another show.
On such occasions, I feel truly privileged to be a follower. Congratulations on your first showing; I’d say you crushed it!👏 👩🎨🌹💫
Aww, thank you so much EF! What an amazing comment.
Yeah… I crushed it! (very cool compliment)
❤️🌹❤️
Oh I love this post and the success of your wonderful showing of art with Diana, Resa! Both of you are so talented and truly gifts that inspire. I loved Holly’s perfect poem and Tim’s generosity it support. Congratulations to you and here’s to many more shows!!!
💕🌟💗🥂🥂
Thank you, thank you…. Cindy!
This was a thrilling experience for me. Diana’s art is special. And it means a lot to me that you appreciate this art happening.
Thank you so much for your wonderful support!
I know, Tim and Holy are simply amazing!
xoxoxxoxo
You’re so very welcome, Resa.
Oh what a special day and an incredible experience for you as well. I absolutely do appreciate it… maybe since I’m not good at it at all.
You’re so very welcome! There hearts are huge and it says a lot about you!!❣️
Aww, thank you Cindy!
Not good at art?
Hmm, well you can sure write poetry, so you are good at it.
Crazy, but I have taken the poetry of others (I’m not good at poetry) and written it outside on doors… like poetry graffiti.
Takes one to know one! ❦🕊❦xoxoxo❦🕊❦
just marvelous from both of you. I love seeing a bit of the process. It gives the viewer a whole new appreciation of how much work is involved in these things.
Congratulations.
janet
Thank you, Janet!
Yes, it was a lot of work, good work with a wildly satisfying outcome.
It was a joy to share my experience in this post. I appreciate you for taking the time to check it out!
Congratulations Resa! The show and art look fantastic. Your and Diana’s art compliment each other and the set up looks great. I worked in an art gallery and know how much work it takes to create a show, especially in a new space. Diana’s paintings are very expressive and I love your gowns, especially Jade, and your drawings are wonderful too. Yay!
Thank you so much Brad!
Ahh, you worked in an Art Gallery. That is so cool.
Yes a lot of work is involved, and it is thrilling & satisfying when the work is done and people come and see the art.
Thank you so much for this most lovely comment Brad! Diana thanks you too!
She doesn’t have a blog, but I might teach her! YAY!!!!!
Yay! Selling art was one of my favorite jobs.
That sounds cool!
What an amazing show. Diana’s paintings were wonderful and your gowns looked incredible. I’m so grateful for my gorgeous gown and for Holly’s beautiful poem Means so much to me. Thank you both. Resa, this is such a fabulous show. I wish I could have been there to see it. All of your gowns showed perfectly. Each one, one of a kind, and stunning. I’m so happy for you. Congratulations to you and Diana on a remarkable event.
Thanks Gi!
It was an amazing time. Diana’s art is wonderful. She says it’s about how she feels, hence “Emotions.”
Mlle. Emily was an instant “Yes” as I unzipped the garment bag she’d been in for many years.
That early 1980’s synthetic had nary a wrinkle. Also, it’s so close to being a wedding gown that I knew many would be drawn in.
Then there’s the bonus of Holly’s wonderful poem. That needed to be featured again.
Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration you have supplied me over the years.
XOXO
Even thought I wasn’t physically there, you know I ws there in spirit. Much love and more congratulations. And yes, it would make the perfect wedding gown.
I know!
… and all the cats we ever loved were there too, in Emily. xx
I believe that 100%.
❦🕊❦xoxoxo
We never stop missing them. Ever.
Ever!
Immediately when I saw this gown I thought what a gorgeous wedding gown that would be. Made me want to do the wedding thing again … almost. 😅 have you ever considered getting into the wedding gown business? Women are always looking for that perfect unique wedding gown and white is kind of going out of style. 🤗
No.. I’m not driven to do wedding dresses. Norm keeps saying I should do that.
However, I think some of the Art Gowns would be fabulous wedding dresses, and I would be more than happy to sell and fit one for that purpose.
For some reason I prefer creatively floating at this point. Inspiration is an important ingredient. Having to do something is a different energy than being inspired to do something.
Everything I’ve done with you, all the drawings, Velvet Tango are because you have inspired me. I can’t begin to describe the satisfaction in that.
I adore you! xoxoxo❦🕊❦xoxoxo
Dear Resa, I completely agree it’s time to rest and let the creative process take you only where you care to go. The art Show is such an invigorating and exciting project and you’ve done it proud.
You’ve inspired me many times and there’s never enough words to thank you. You are a joy and delight and the one and only Meece. Adore you to the moon. 🌕
xoxoxoxoxo
To the Meeces on the Moon!!!!
We are the Meeces of Peace!
xoxoxoxo🐭🌕🐭xoxoxoxo
Definitely the Peace Meeces. They better not make us mad 😠

Yes.. or we will have to Meece Peace on them!

I might be time to draw John Lennon!!!!
xoxoxoxoxoxo
… and the world will live as one…🎵
Lennon is beautiful. Yes!!!
OKAY!!!
Searching through his 1971 pics. That’s when Imagine was released!
OBOY!
xoxoxoxoxo
I love his video Karma and Imagine. So much talent right there.
xoxoxoxoxo
Yes! I’d like to think I could do something a bit more outstanding… I can only try.
xoxoxoxoxo
Give him a chance. ( no pun) it would be fun.
Xoxoxoxoxo
I’ll try.. Do you recall? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBcdt6DsLQA&list=RDYBcdt6DsLQA&start_radio=1
I definitely do …
House of Heart posted on dithyrambs & ditties: In remembrance and celebration of life – In My Life I loved you more
Woo hoo!! I had been waiting for this post, Resa!! I LOVE the photo of you with your beautiful artwork!! Love your beret, flowery jacket, scarf, etc. – so cool and artsy! 😍
Diana had quite a vision with that empty room and boy, it looks great with all the art and the lighting made a huge difference! Love her oil painting, they’re all fantastic!
Of course your gowns are spectacular!! I love the jade dress, wow, so exotic and elegant! Love the flowers detail of the Mademoiselle Emily one… and I love the pic of you next to it! You are one stylin’ girl, but of course you are!
That painting of ‘Dream Big’ is the perfect one to encapsulate your experience at your first show!! Do you think you’d be willing to do another show like this? Sounds like it’s a massive success, wish I could be there… maybe next time? 😉
Big congrats to you and Diana!!
🏆🎨✨👗🎉🌟🤩
Thanks Ruth! Yes, lol, that’s me… all artsy. Actually, I love that. So, thanks again!
Diana is the real big dreamer here. Now she said we should load up a truck with out art and drive to NYC, get a cheap hotel room and do a show there.
It could work actually.
Maybe next time. Yes… I would love to show the gowns again, and more art. Working on the art part starting …NOW!
xo💙 ~❦🕊❦~ 💙xo
Oh wow!! A show in NYC sounds amazing! If I know ahead of time I’d love to attend your show one day!
Well I’ll be traveling starting Wednesday for the next 2 weeks, so will be taking a blog/writing break for a while.
Love ya!
XOXOXO ❦🕊❦
LOVE YA, TOO!
Have the best trip, Ruth!
I want all the best for you and yours. XOXOXOXO❦🕊❦❦🕊❦
Impressive! I’m glad you showed us the space before and during the setup. Definitely worth the effort. I love that Emily gown!
It would be great if you two did another show. And kudos to Tim for helping out!
Thanks Audrey!
Yes, Emily is stunning. I’ve always hoped someone would get married in her.
I’m hoping for another show, and Tim has helped me out before.
During covid I could not buy art supplies up here to save my life. He sent me art supplies! ❦
What a fabulous space, Resa! Your Art Gowns are amazing but the full body of work from the two of you is such a wonderful collaboration. The lady is good for you! I look forward to more xx
Thank you Jo! It means a lot that people like our art. Yes, Diana is good for me, and we make a fab team. xx
Oh, wow! I’ve been waiting to hear all about your show, Resa, and this article was a joy to read!
Diana’s art is amazing. I love the way she’s a self-taught artist. That one with the horse in it is so dreamy. Your gowns look absolutely stunning! They are all so eye-catching and unique. I’m drawn to Queen Isabella, which I wish had been my wedding dress (a secret fantasy, lol!). I think this is the first time I’ve seen Mademoiselle Emily and Jade, too, which are both equally stunning! Congratulations on such a fabulous achievement, Resa! You must be thrilled! 👗💐🥳
Thank you dear Ada!
Yes, I am thrilled. It is interesting how people come and go into one’s life.
Diana and I have known each other for a long time. We worked together in the past, socialized… lost track … re-met … lost track, and now this event where we really had a productive art time together.
She is wonderful and I hope we do another show together.
Each of the gowns got a lot of attention. I think Jade was the most popular. However, it was only Queen Isabella who had price tag inquiries. Of course at $35,000.00, she did not get snatched up.
I am thrilled! Thank you for taking the time to check out our show! Hooray for being able to present virtually!
👗💙 ~❦🕊❦~ 💙👗
It’s amazing. Absolutely amazing. I love the way you both laid out the space and turned it into something magical. Such talent, such brilliance. And Timothy is something else. AND Art Gowns…. my jaw#s been on the ground that you showed Jade and thank you so much for the mention xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx You truly are the best. I will be back now every day to look at this post. It is that good.
Yay… thanks Shey! It was quite the exceptional experience.
Isn’t it interesting how Tim was visiting you while I was putting up the show, I was draping JADE, Tim was helping me with $$, you were hosting him.. it seems like a very tight circle – despite my inability to put the thought clearly into words.
I’ll bet the dudes could explain it all clearly, although you’d have to put up with whining and hamster philosophy while listening.
I’m so glad you like this post, and that Jade makes you happy!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I know what you are meaning re Tim and your show. The fact is he never planned on coming here. He’d arrived in Europe and he replied to a comment I made , saying a one point the onboard computer had said the plane was flying over Dundee and i said, you should have dropped in. Next thing…? He’d looked at flights. Thing after that was he’d booked a flight and was looking for a not too dear city centre hotel for a short break. Well since the V &A came here and that whole bit of shoreline has been revamped, there’s a ton of lovely very reasonably priced hotels right down on the waterfront with fabulous views, shuttle bus services to Edinburgh airport, and everything on the doorstep, attraction wise, you name it. We talked about your show and all and how amazing you are. And being modest and a wonderful guy he never said anything re helping your show along. He was here a few days and we managed to show him round a good deal as well as have him to our house and Broughty Ferry where we say. I noticed one of the blog tabs had got muddled on my blog, while saying a Dundee Day on it, it was the Cancelled blog post which was also up. So I sorted that, so his first day here is now up under Dundee Day. And like that he sorted my computer and everything while he was here. All meant to be I think. he took such an interest in the doll’s house my dad made me, which he’d never have seen had the pc not been broken, so that is up in our attic sitting room instead of the main one. So yeah.. I get what you are saying and it is amazing. AND thank you again for Jade. I adore that dress and it is the color I wore to my older girl’s wedding. there you go!
Dundee sounds like a fab place for a vaycay. Tim made a great choice. His inspiration and instinct led him right.
Your doll’s house is magnificent, a gem… a true result of love.
Ha, and your computer is fixed. Love Tim!
Jade was such a joy to make, because you inspired her.
I adore you! xxxxxxxxxxx
OMG. From someone I adore!!!!!!! And admire so much xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Bravo! Congratulations! And if there were ever two artists whose work came together as fluidly as a G&T it is you girls!
Thank you Violet!
We made a terrific team. Art is a wonderful uniter.
Hello Violet!
I was on your blog today. I read a few posts, and left a couple of comments. I see one is awaiting approval, the other is vanished completely.
Could you please check if I am in SPAM and free me! Thank you!
One was pending and I freed you 😊
YAYAY!!!! Thank you, Violet! effin spam

So much fabulousness under one roof, bravo!!! 👏 😍
Yayayay!!! Thank you, Tiffany! ❦🕊
Resa this is quite stunning on both sides of the wall. Both you and Diana have a quirky style of art. I hope you both had a large showing. Also I love your sense of style in how you dress.
Thanks for finally sharing and a big kudos to Tim for offerring financial assistance.
Thank you dear Matt!
Quirky… yay! Your art is quirky, too. That’s why I like it so much.
It was a fab showing. Enough people came, and I sold 2 drawings and a poster. Between those, Tim and my N… I broke even.
I am thrilled.
Honestly, I didn’t care about selling anything. I just wanted people to see my work.
Thank you for taking the time to check out the show post, and your lovely comment (and compliment on my style)!
Wow! Well done my friend. A beautiful example of how a sparked idea can come to fruitition. I loved the irridescent work on the gowns. And yay for you creating Diana’s Geisha girl emits. What a great combo you two working together! Big hugs xox 🧡💜❌⭕❌
Thank you Debby!
What a blast this experience was.
Thanks for popping by and checking it all out.
Hopefully Diana and I will do it again!
XOXO❦🕊❦XOXO
I think that is very likely. Great venue! Hugs xoxox

Congratulations Resa and Diana. What an accomplishment to be able to put all the pieces together to create a nice space to enjoy the many silent stories of art. The gowns were spectacular. I thought of the courts of imaginary kings and emperors where everyone was dressed in their finest clothes. The Bunny shoes were the star of the show, no doubt.
HA! You got it on the nose with the Bunny shoes. The comments were precious.
It’s the element of surprise.
Kim Cattrall who sure knows how to dress herself told me that. I was her costume designer on 6 episodes of “Sensitive Skin”. She always added an element of surprise.
The gowns are a surprise, too. The are made out of the “not” finest of fabrics, and prove that beauty can be made of anything, like the world Renate and David are building.
You are a true master of the arts Resa. Over the years, you taught me that beauty is revealed from simple things presented masterfully. Your kindness has touched a lot of people, myself included, and that current of kindness and civility through your presentation of the arts and conversation shows clearly in comments and collaborations. For that reason I’d like to present you with the One of the Bestest Humans in the Whole Wide World award. Maybe as this idea of decency, grace, and gratitude catches on, there will be a lot of competition for the award and we’ll have to come up with a lot of sub categories.
I accept the award!
What an honour. How kind of you and how touching that you have these lovely thoughts about me.
I do try, but more, it just seems natural to be kind.
I believe that community created around the arts is … honest… for lack of a better word..
Again, thank you Dan! You are pretty bestest yourself!
Sending all my best! ❦🕊❦
I agree and thank you as well, Resa. When people can channel their creativity into their community for benevolent purposes, the entire community is enriched in a way we often don’t realize in our busy world until we discover we are smiling more and sharing our happiness with others. Imagine, the difference a smile, a hand shake, and the exchange of culture and art can make.
I’m in!!
I can imagine, because I’ve experienced it.
I know we have differences. I don’t know why we must fight about them, and 100% dominate with our preferences.
I get caught up in fray and then catch myself and amble away embarassed. I know that I can listen to anyone and know that by listening I don’t harm myself or take on some frightful new personality I’m not familiar with. But, I do sometimes wake up on my wobbly soap box and wonder how the heck I got up on that thing. But Art in its most magnificent presence cause my eyes to open and my blabber mouth to close. Peace is restored.
lol.. We all have a soap box. We are not brain & emotion dead…. yet. AI might take care of that.
I think about our common AI spell checker that screws up every sentence we type and then I think this is soon going to be a Monty Python world of hallucinating AI agents.
AI would make great comedy skits…. or a beyond 1984 novel.
Yes, I think along the lines of The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy – 2034.
Amazing accomplishment. You built out the space, hung the show, and of course, created the art. The paintings and gowns are beautiful.
Thanks Dan!
Creativity, in many of its aspects is the root of much joy.
Of course evil politicians can be negatively creative in their perfidious endeavours.
That is art, and nothing else but purely art; thank you both.
👍💞🙏🤗💖
You are welcome, Aladin! Thank you so much!

Gorgeous – absolutely gorgeous. Everything – how I wish I was there! Congratulations on doing such a great job!
Thank you Jan!
I wish you could have been here, too! I have had dreams where I come into $$$$ and bring all my WP pals to Toronto for an art experience… of some kind.
Truly amazing! Everything—the paintings, the dresses, and the setup—was magnificent. Well done.
Thank you, Edward! This happening was a joy of my life. Your comment means a lot.
You’re very welcome. 🙏🏼

Sorry I’m late, Resa. The weekend was busy with our son’s birthday on the 9th and Mom’s Day. But I didn’t forget! And, Oh, Wow! This is fabulous, and I loved learning about Diana and seeing the stunning creations from both of you. Your gowns are beyond exquisite, really no words can describe their beauty and your skill and talent. I’m so glad the show was a success. The room and welcoming furniture are perfect too! Wonderful, wonderful, to say the least! Sending Congratulatory hugs your way! XOXO 💖🎉👏🏼
No worries, you’re not late!
So glad to hear you had a fab Mom’s Day & time with your son.
Honestly, Norm and I have been spending a fair bit more time together, so less blogging. There have been some sudden passings in our couples community. So, we are taking more time for each other.
And I am thrilled you came over to see my offering, which was a thrill of a life for me. I want to show the gowns more, so hopefully another venue will present itself.
The gowns take a lot of space, and the galleries around are too, small. This was an empty store in a mall.
Yay.. that you liked it and Diana’s art is wonderful. I really hope we join forces for art again.
I’ll be by soon. Take care, and keep up the love!

Sorry to hear about the passings, Resa, but it’s good to spend more time together. This is a fantastic post and your skills are off the charts! Have a good weekend! ❤️🌷❤️🌷❤️
🕊💙🕊💙xoxox You have a fab weekend too, Lauren!
Mucho compliments to both. Your arts -I think- complemented each other.
Lots of talent there.
I also love the two pix of you, Resa. You changed your glasses for smaller ones, didn’t you? Suits you well.
Again, my most heartfelt compliments to two great artists.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So much talent on display! Thanks so much for sharing all of it!
You are welcome, Alex!
And thank you for your lovely comment!
Always!
I’ve eagerly awaited this post, and I still managed to be late… Resa, it’s so exciting to see everything on display. It was a gorgeous show. I loved seeing the gowns there. You look divine! Thanks for this introduction to Diana’s art, and thanks to Tim too for helping with expenses. Hugs on the wing.
Thanks Teagan! Not late.. no one is late out here in blogville. Ha! I am the slowest of all. It’s more enjoyable this way. No pressure, no rush, just what you want to do.
Love Diana’s art! I will do a post featuring her and her art in the future.
It was lucky to find a place big enough to show gowns. They have a large footprint.
Tim! 😘
I look divine… yay… That is nice of you to say, thank you!. I adore the beret. An old friend of mine made it for me especially for the show.
I’m thrilled you got to see the post. Hugs and more hugs!
Hi Resa, I feel honored just to see your show and the adorable bunny shoes and photos of you and your friend were icing on the cake. You made my night. I loved her resting angel, and your Gigi inspired dress! All three dresses were gorgeous!
Thank you dear Brenda!
It’s great when I hear how gorgeous the dresses are. After all, they are made from trash fabrics.
Yes, Resting Angel is stunning. I adore it.
Well, it was a wonderful experience, and I am thrilled you got to see it here.

😎
Lovely to see these inspired gowns! Glad to know the show went well and to see a glimpse of it here. ❤️
Thank you so much, Layla!I’m thrilled you popped in for a peek!❤️
This is brilliant, Resa! I am so glad all that hard work paid off and the art work and art gowns fabulous as ever ❤ ❤
Wow! How exciting!
