Robbie’s gown has icing on it.
Resa’s gown thinks she’s a sonnet.

Both are made, to love, an homage.
Robbie Cheadle made a fun and gorgeous wedding post on Latinos USA with Art Gown Victorian Sonnet and her fabulously creative cakes. Pop on over for a taste of beauty!
By the way,
As a guest artist at my friend’s Pop-Up Art Gallery Show, I have space to show 2 Art Gowns.
A few Art Gowns pics printed on faux canvases, then painted over selectively with iridescent paint, will also be there.
Additionally, five portraits will be on a slice of wall. The 4 below are now framed.
One of the drawings below will be the 5th. If you’re leaving a comment, let me know which one you’d pick!
This is my first time showing in public, and it is a small sample try. If you are already in Toronto, pop by if time allows!
Special thanks to D. Wallace Peach, who sent me all the special antique fabrics that became Victorian Sonnet!
Finally, to all my northern pals who have endured a cold, snowed-in, icy and hideous winter,

Love the portraits, Resa! Re picking the fifth, such a tough choice; they’re all so good. But I guess the Jim Morrison one. Congratulations on (very deservedly) being part of that gallery show!
Thank you, Dave! It’s all a bit scary and exciting.
Ahh, Morrison! I fell in love with him when I was drawing him. Then again, interestingly, I seem to fall in love with whomever I’m drawing, except Freddie Mercury. 🤭
Oh Sorceress! I am so proud and happy for you! I wish I could be there! Damn. Unless I make arrangements to go early (will be in TO on the 14th… maybe I can make arrangements.)
As for which one to pick? Almost impossible… either Freddy or Jim… but Bob is fab, too…. I didn’t help much, did I?
LOL…Freddie, Jim or Bob… well it’s a narrowing.
So, Thunder, I wouldn’t make extra arrangements that cost money. The 14th… how many days are you here for?
OR…how many hours?
First things first… your vaycay! We’ll talk when you return!

Consider the order I said them to be my choices…
I’ll be in Toronto from the 14th to the 17th, for sure. Then I make my way to Kingston, Ottawa and back to Montréal.
Yes! Vacay! Wooooot!
xoxoxoxoxoxox
LOVE Ottawa!!!
Bon Voyage!
When do you get back?
xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
I love Kingston, too. We will be one night in each. I will be back on the 19th.
xoxoxoxoxoxo
I found all your creations simply fabulous.
I love all of the portraits, dear Resa: they’re all wonderful. If I had to choose my favorite, I’m torn between the third and the last.
Thank you, Luisa!
The 3rd and last.. adding them into the voting!

How beautiful ❤ Thought of my mom seeped in as I saw the doll cake she always made me one for my birthday which oddly will be my 70th in five days. She always made my white rainbow girl gowns as well. Have a wonderful weekend when it arrives Resa.
Aww, how lovely that the doll cake brought memories of your mom, Eunice.
Gee… 70… me too soon! Time flies!

wow, what incredibly beautiful work, glad you are having a showing !
Thanks Beth! It’s scary and exciting all at once!
Congratulations on your first show in public, Resa! You’ll rock them!! Only one to pick is hard, but I was drawn to the Bob Dylan. So contemplative.
Dylan seems to be winning!
I hope I rock’em!
Thank you, Cheyenne!
That is so cool you are having a public showing of your art. You have so much talent and creativity. Your artwork belongs in a public showing. I think the pensive Dylan would be good for the 5th slot.
Okay.. another vote for Dylan!
Thanks Tim! I don’t mind saying that I am scared and excited all at once. xx
Congratulations on you public showing!! I’d go with Keith Richards because he’s such an entertaining interview.
A wonderful post, and congratulations on your upcoming art show. I wish I could be in Toronto to stop by and give you a hug of support and admire your work in person!
Aww, thank you Merril!
LOL… at one point I wasn’t going to tell anyone…. I do feel scared and excited all at once.
The friend I am showing with has had 8 previous art shows, so she’s being a tremendous force of calm and positive.
Nothing ventured ………. !
Congratulations on the show, Resa. How exciting. I wish I could be there.
Thanks John!
Exciting, yes. SCARY, yesser.
Oh well, might as well try to stay on the excited side. My friend has 8 shows under her belt. I’m learning a lot, including confidence. OX
This is so wonderful. I love the wedding dress fabric ( such a beautiful gift from Diana ! I hope you’re having loads of fun with this, I don’t know how I could pick a favorite sketch but I do live Leonard Cohen and Dylan.
xoxoxoxo
We were at the venue this morning. There’s more space than I recalled. I might do 3 gowns now!
Leonard is already framed, and so Dylan gets another vote. He seems to be leading votes. I’ll probably do Neil, as well!
xoxoxoxoxoxo
Good choice. Neil is excellent. This is become something big!
