Resa

Daniel Swearingen has honored my creative spirit by penning “Resa”, the fifth in his “Whitby Ladies” series. I feel Goth and power! I feel a Muse.
I am closing comments, as those can go on his site, where I hope you will check out the “Whitby Ladies”

Daniel Swearingen

Come down upon me that which ties the ladder, that which laces the dream, string for me that which is of cord magick, that where sirens weave!

These together upon, thy mind, that upon which Resa see’s, comes the gown of which all magic weaves, summoned, now sirens cry, the coven’s treasure, now bend thee, now bend thee….

The weave born of Star Carr, near Scarborough, the thread, in calling that which loves her, that which forms her heart. That daemon which summons patterns bold, summoned stories by a play, look to me, from Yorkshire way, designs that show a sirens way, a seamstress hides away, a stich, her art, the act in play. Heart, heart, summoned Whitby’s art, the ladies by the bay, and Mina smiles…. dear Resa, sew for me a scarf. A woven Faberge, that shows young girls at play, thighs in liquid, that of oceans…

English version: Hello Lovelies, in one of my last posts I told you that I am working on my portfolio for the  universities (fashion design) at the moment. I created a dress made of newspapers for example (as you can see in the photo). The HAZ (Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung) was interested in my work and published this article.

Thanks a lot to Daniel Junker from the HAZ for the nice talk and the great article and photos. At first I was a bit shocked to discover myself on the front page 😉 … I am really happy about it.

Deutsche Version: Ihr Lieben, dass ich momentan an meinem Portfolio arbeite und mich für die Aufnahmeprüfungen für das Mode-Design-Studium vorbereite, hatte ich euch ja bereits berichtet. #GreenWhiteViolet A Guest Post on Women’s Right to Vote

I can’t begin to express how excited I am that I have written my first guest post, and for such a wonderful blog as “When Women Inspire” It’s been a crazy summer, with no time to design an Art Gown. However, I feel a bracelet and earrings coming on!
Christy, thank you so very much!

When Women Inspire

Today I am pleased to announce a guest post on women’s right to vote, written by my blogging friend and costume designer Resa. I hope you enjoy reading the post as much I have!

The largely male-dominated world is a mess. To make it work better, I believe that the pragmatic answer is found by commingling the nurturing intuitional intelligence of women equally with the aggressive hard-line intelligence of men.

Nonetheless, women were and are currently sidelined to varying degrees, depending on the situation and issue.

I believe Canadian women have the earned right, and should be at the forefront of peaceful dialogue for a decent global future. This is because our sociopolitical evolution has been exemplary.

In the early 1900’s, women of the United Kingdom, France and the United…

Greetings from a sleepy boy.

“Venus in Blue”, a gift to me from my dear FGS Robyn (THROUGH THE HEALING LENS) has more than deeply touched my heart. xoxoxo
To me, this commissioned artwork by Benjamin Prewitt is the fruition of love, imagination and inspiration thriving together.
A million thank you’s to both are not enough, but will have to do.

Expressions of my life - An evolution of art.

I’d like to say I’ve been out and about shaking the art world to its very chore, but I’m not sure it has a singular core any more and I’m pretty sure it would take more than me  writing to you from the comfort of my sleeping couch.
Though today has been a magical day of sorts. I enjoyed the early dawn hours alone outside and alone in my studio. I painted on one whilst preparing to say good bye to another.

She’ll be missed, but I’d rather spread joy than own a piece of my own work.
I was also able to simply spend some time enjoying the studio here are a couple of pics you’d never see unless you were to come over at…
